Thread regarding Raytheon Co. layoffs

Smaller layoffs

I wonder if there were a lot of smaller layoffs happening under the radar before the end of last year, or will there be a lot of such smaller layoffs in the future?

I wouldn't be surprised. Smaller layoffs have been the standard trend of HR in the industry. The hope is that if you do smaller layoffs, and do it around the holidays it will have a less impact on morale. Plus less than 50 people and they don't have to pay for re-employment costs to the individual they let go.
It's a sc-m bag thing to do, but it does happen frequently.
