Don't believe anybody who tells you you're safe. Your manager, HR, whoever else. Their only goal is to make sure you continue to give it your all (which means doing the work of two or three people) until the very last day. The moment they find somebody willing to do your job for less money, you can consider yourself gone. Trust me, nobody is safe here.

For those who love their managers, that's great, because it truly is rare to find a boss within TD that doesn't speak with a forked tongue. From personal experience, there are too many leaders here who will sc--w you with a smile as long as their job is protected. Wish I was joking.
Yes I have a great and caring manager. I got struck with cancer and he made sure I took the time off that I needed with a lot of extra days after I had exhausted my sick leave. A great and caring person
This is your perspective, and I am sorry for whatever experiences have led you to feel this way.
For everybody else here, the above sentiment is not universally true at Teradata. There are many leaders here who care about the employees individually and are dedicated to improving the pay, culture, and environment that we work in.
Teradata or elsewhere, work on something you find interesting, find good leaders to work for, grow your career, and celebrate the wins along the way!
