Does anybody have any insight as to if the visual captain position will be eliminated or changed with the removal of the OVMs?

My impression is that most people that assume an OVM position are either stronger in operations or stronger in visual or not strong in anything depending on their prior work history. Generally, it takes a little time to become really good at either skill set. The result in the short term is that the store will lack in either operations or visual for some period of time. Perhaps having a strong operations manager and dedicated visual captains would work better. The question is what is the career path for visual captains to make the effort worthwhile?
That’s not what I heard. I heard OVM positions are gone. They will be offered new roles if available depending on seniority
No cuts at all…. Ovm position stays and just gets renamed
All the cuts and changes starts on the last week of January.
I think the person means -- 'No, captains will stay.'
My understanding is there will still be visual captains and the OVM role is being split apart: into an Operations title and a Style Manager title (merchandising).
This is just what I am hearing and trying to piece together from rumors and rumblings because apparently, no one (not even managers) are really sure what's going to happen.
What’s happening to the OVM position?
No captain at all or just no visual captains? Who would do the visual job?
No captains will stay.
Why do you the OVM position will be cut?
