Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Raise - really? Actually another pay cut!

Got my raise today. Got 14% and my manager acted like this was great. I’m not impressed as no raise last year, loss of 401k match for a year, and inflation means this isn’t a raise but another pay cut. Even worse is I am paying more for health insurance! Does Exxon think we can’t add? In addition I have to take on more responsibilities since we lost so many people and can’t hire people so I’ll be working many more hours. My hourly rate is going to be less than an operator. They keep telling us they hire only the smartest and best then act like we are stupid, or worse, like we went to LSU.

Promotion to CL 28, assessed excellent, 9% increase. A very lackluster promotional increase.

I agree with OP. I got 8% with G ranking. This doesn’t cover no raise last year, no 401 match, and high inflation, not to mention that I now have additional work due to fewer people. Making it worse are the bonuses the top dogs paid themselves. I’m looking for another job, until then Exxon is going to earn that pay cut.

Cheated with an “only 14%” raise. Seems that you are either A) a troll that is just being a tu-d in the bucket or B) a completely entitled dipsht who is already overpaid, ungrateful and out of touch with basically the rest of the working world. In any case your head is somewhere very foul and very dark. Pull it out, take a deep breath, enjoy your 14% or hit the LinkedIn job board.

We didn’t make money in 2020. It’s reasonable to assume that corp not making up for that. 14% is above inflation, so you just come off as very ungrateful and should look elsewhere is getting 14% is a bad raise.

You’re probably already paid too much. Hit the road, if you think you’re worth more. Deuces

If you think inflation is greater than14% then you probably did go to LSU. Guessing you're sub 24

14% does sound like a good increase in context of previous average increases. are to share your assessment groups in 2020 and 2021?
