I work at Citrix Fort Lauderdale and have no plans of getting the vaccine. I am afraid to ask HR any questions, so I was wondering.. should I put in my two weeks before the January 4th deadline? Otherwise, I assume once the new year comes, I’ll be fired, which I don’t want on my record. I’ve been actively interviewing with other companies and hope to land something soon. Anyone else on the same boat?

Federal Contractor 'mandate' blocked by Federal Court

There's no record. Being fired isn't like having a late payment on your credit report. No one knows unless you tell them.

Here comes another person who doesn't understand math.
If 99.996% was the chance of getting into a car accident, you wouldn't drive. If that was the chance to win the lottery, you'd open a line of credit against your home and use that to buy lottery tickets (and reap the ROI.)
Plus 0.004% against a big number (300M) is still a big number, not to mention you leave aside that it is not just about "survivability", but not getting long term organ damage.
Please keep going at it and remove yourself from the gene pool.
Cordially, the rest of humanity.
@1nbi+1e6U1RT9 "As you request the accommodation, do not deviate from the specific language: 'sincerely held' religious beliefs."
In other words, lie and make sh*t and take the Lord's name in vain just to avoid the vaccine. If you don't want it, don't take it, but take it like a man (and all the consequences that go with it.)
Don't make up religious excuses. There are no religious convictions that preclude anyone from getting THIS specific vaccine. Uff.
@4kwt+1e6U1RT9 "Didnt the governor rule its unlawful and thus it is not required?"
He can say whatever he wants. It won't hold on federal court.
Think of it. A company has the right to demand a dr-g test as a requirement for employment, but it can't with a vaccine requirement?
It doesn't matter, it is theatrics, and one way or another companies will deal with the risks... or healthcare will. Expect higher premiums for unvaccinated people (and good luck trying to make that illegal.)
Damned plague rats.
Didnt the governor rule its unlawful and thus it is not required?
Citrix wants yes people more than anything, and that’s what the mandate gives them. So op, either be a yes man or leave to the many other companies that don’t require it. Even if you get an exemption, you’ll be surrounded by toxic people who have nothing more to offer than virtue signaling and self promotion.
After the last year, if you aren’t looking to leave then you are a true citrite.
PS: person on troll website saying grow up… funny but that applies to all of us
vaccine opinions aside, let's discuss how Citrix's core value prop is enabling remote work, yet they're making employees go back to the office. I actually think this could bode well for them.
If anything's going to attract top talent these days, it's the opportunity to sit in a cubicle working for less than market value with the perpetual fear of layoffs hanging overhead.

Hands up all the 20-30 year-olds in the room! Anyone? Anyone?
Grow up and get vaccinated.
@2ute+1e6U1RT9 : The idea is to ensure safety of employees who are not in that age group or immunocompromised. People don't want to take vaccine or wear a mask at all times which puts your co-workers(and their family) at risk even if they are vaccinated since the vaccine is not very effective for certain people with existing health conditions. Unfortunately, the right way to end pandemic (any) is to get everyone either infected or vaccinated to stop newer strains of virus. As much as I hate Citrix for laying us off, this is one area that they are in sync with all other major tech companies. Good luck finding a new job that allows you to be unvaccinated. If you can, then it is a win-win for Citrix and yourself as it allows you to follow your religious practice and ensures safety of our ex-coworkers/friends at Citrix.
Sip chicken soup, drink raw camels milk, and take a horse dewormer. Then go to a tanning booth with UV light to ki-l the virus. Don't use vaccines using mrna as they are way too new and have never been tested in humans before the pandemic and we don't know the long term effects. 99.996% of people aged 110 and older who got the vaccine died this year.
I got a religious exemption. It was easy. Just put on the form that the jabs were developed using fetal cells.

Agree, if citrites can’t or won’t understand this basic fact, then this shows ingrained thinking at work as well as in life
Common sense is the last thing most citrites have, or the ability to criticality think for themselves. Most are just regurgitating what they’ve heard before, explains the lack of innovation.
Recent legal battles are shutting down this mandate. Hang tight
The clot shot is medically not necessary.
You can still get cv, can still transmit it, but yeah, I know “your symptoms will be much less”
Using that logic why the he-l would you get the clot shot if you can just treat this virus with a common protocol:
VitAmin C, D, quercitine and Zinc
Look up the Dr Zelenko protocol. Do this proactively. Don’t fear this 99.96% virus and stop living like sheep.
Get educated
My sincerely held religious belief is that I should be promoted every year with a 10% salary raise and additional RSUs worth 50% of my salary. My religion believes in promoting people at work and giving them better pay for their work. I hope that can accommodate my sincerely held religious belief if they allow other "sincerely held" beliefs or else it would be discrimination. They cannot really challenge my beliefs either.
“Questioning your sincerely-held religious belief is not legal”
Bold assertion, let’s see how it pans out
If you have 'sincerely held' religious beliefs, you can get a religious accommodation.
Failure to grant the religious accommodation for 'sincerely held' religious beliefs is discrimination and you can sue the employer. Questioning your 'sincerely held' religious beliefs is not legal. You can respectfully assert your 'sincerely held' religious beliefs.
As you request the accommodation, do not deviate from the specific language: 'sincerely held' religious beliefs.
Read the story of typhoid Mary.
There are several other big techs that don’t, but what would a little sheep know?
Is this a Russian troll?? lol... Now that I think about it, this is a pretty good strategy if you want to get fired and hope to collect a severance. Kinda mad at myself for not thinking about doing something like this sooner. But, I don't know what makes the original poster think that there are other well-paying tech companies out there right now that will NOT require a vaccine mandate.
If you are not going to get vaccinated, do not go to the hospital when you get sick. You can’t claim to be a afraid of medicine and then rush in begging them to help you. It is unbelievable the hypocrisy that you all exhibit.
So these are the people that Citrix didn't lay off lol
Why would you not get vaccinated. I truly do not understand.
What record?
