There are some good questions about pay in the #first-friday Slack channel. Keep 'em coming.
Remember: An annual raise that's less than inflation (5-6% per CPI) is an effective decrease in pay.

@dsnr+1e529HlO. The elites who run Apax and Cengage don't care about your Christmas. Full stop.
It’s the perfect time to leave Cengage and find a new job. The great resignation is real! There are plenty of jobs out there with MUCH higher pay. Don’t continue to deal with the Cengage BS.
@dsnr+1e529HlO Doing what?
They are doing this right before Christmas? Are you serious!?!
Sadness, disappointment and anger are common emotions whenever the low IQ cengage worker is confronted with facts and truth.
@1pjt+1e529HlO That has to be the saddest thing I have ever read. Talk about embracing mediocrity.
Cengage is a mission based company, and the mission is NOT to make as much money as possible. We're hear to disrupt education and innovate learning for the student. To date, we have saved students over $500 million with Cengage Unlimited, and I'm proud to be a part of that savings! Does that mean maybe we don't get as big of a pay raise as our colleagues in tech do? Yeah, sometimes it does. Does that mean that my son is going to have to take out some pretty significant loans to pay for his own college? Yep. But you know what? I wouldn't have it any other way. I would rather be a part of this incredible mission rather than make some big bonus working in FinTech. EdTech is honestly the most innovative and rewarding space to work in, and I am proud of the difference I am making in students lives.
Instead of demanding more than you're worth. Consider giving back. Selfishness is not one of the tenets of our credo. Right now as you read this, your replacements are crossing the river at Del Rio, Texas. Don't disappoint them.
