They don't care - FYI. A consumer director out of New York just left Verizon... he had over 4+ years as the retail director. Verizon continues to show it can't retain talent. This is also evident that they're dismantling the retail division, trimming down overhead by attacking the labor cost in this area of the business. This division is also the bread and butter of what drives the most revenue for the business.

Facts are facts. If you can cheat on your wife then you can cheat on anything in life. I’m sure she wanted out of Verizon as well since a lot of his shade made it’s way back to her.
That guy was super loyal. Ki---d himself got that company. Don’t make things up and post them if you don’t know the truth. He gave it his all every single day. He was offered something he couldn’t give up for the future of his family. Respect it. Respect him.
Y’all are wild. He got an offer for a boatload of money at another company. His team would run through walls for him. Anyone talking trash didn’t like to put in the work. That’s all. Dude was one of THE most loyal leaders to his team in the business
I guess not Verizon
Sorry to say I had a meeting many year's ago with this guy. It should have been my last day with the company. He had an ego that was troubling and the fear and intimidation he caused were beyond belief! There is no loss of talent here because dictatorship comes in many forms and variations. I was surprised that someone over the years didn't take matters in their own hands to this individual.
I witnessed this man break down two female managers into tears. These were highly respected managers among their peers and district teams. One even quit her job and went after the company because of his actions. He managed by fear and intimidation using his positional power. This is only proven to provide short term results. Horrible reputation to say the least and that’s why you don’t see anyone really defending him on here.
Everyone has the right to post! I wont discourage or frown upon that. Let’s try to remember.
- Life is short
- God doesnt like evil
- This man has a family
The internet is a cowards playground. If you have issues, sure post them. There’s no need to personally attack anyone. We are all better than this! No company is perfect, no man, women, or child is either. We are all better than this. I wish everyone the best!
Must of been bad to leave during holiday season
@1eac+1e4s6p9t 100% true. Several inappropriate relationships over the years. Some things finally caught up with him. I feel bad for his wife as she probably will never know how many times he cheated on her.
Retail Directors are a JOKE!!!! They do nothing and bring nothing to the table!!! They rally their puppets (DMs) every day to make them look good in front of their peers by the afternoon conference call and then it’s off to brown nosing on Instagram.
He was far from talented. Verizon wanted him gone. For every one person missing D.O. at Verizon I can find you 100 that will not. Super egotistical nightmare. Had some dirt very early on some higher up that fast tracked him up the food chain. Ironically he got himself into dirt with the ladies wink wink and there was no more future for Mr. O at VZDubbs. My money is that he doesn’t last at Frontier as it won’t take long to see through him. Adios pal.
Solid dude. Good for him. Have to do what is best for you at the end of day.
Retail is only profitable when the reps are on individual commission and upselling. The website can't talk people into credit cards, over priced insurance, hums, and other cr-p that brings in extra revenue.
Take some time to understand how the business model operates and generates its revenue streams. Retail, residential accounts, is where the bread and butter is. Verizon is moving to digital... however digital is another word for laying off brick and mortar stores and going to .com business model.
The guy was promoted to Vice President, Retail Operations at Frontier Communications. Seems like you don't know what you're talking about here.
Can't retain talent? What talent? Nothing but brown nosing woke imbeciles. I would say retail is more of a boat anchor than bread and butter. Maybe take some time to understand how expensive retail is to operate before speaking.
