“The customers might make the mess but honestly in my local Macys stores IF I see an employee, they are generally not doing much. And extremely rude when you check out. God forbid that they have to lookup up your Macys card. They make a face although they just inquired if you're using the card. I was told last night that they would "honor" the F&F discount which is humorous since all the signs were up on the racks I shopped. Consistently a cranky bunch. Might be due to work pressure and mistreatment but it's unpleasant for the customers”

Is your name Karen by chance?
Why are you shopping at macys without your card? You have one bring it. They were probably anxious at the line forming behind them while you dig in your handbag and wallet because you can’t find your card let alone your license for them to do the look up. Your taking forever and want to tell a story about a 10 necklace your buying And ask if more is going to come off because it may as well be free right? Then you want it wrapped in tissue and want a nice bag with the handles and don’t forget the box since it is a gift.

Retail customers need to be more respectful no matter what store they shop in. I would never think to do some of the things I see noted here. Part of the problem with Macy’s is lack of staffing and lack of AP. I don’t see that issue in certain other retail establishments just saying. But in some places like Walmart yes it is a mess also. Common sense but unfortunately that has mostly gone out the window.

My last post I said Friday morning, it was Saturday morning NOT Friday morning when I walked through the store… I found out that out that our retail civilization “customers” were clinically insane!

I heard we were 40% over our projected plan. In fact our entire region was up! Still I think they’ll going to close us. I gotta say, I NEVER in all my years, YEARS I say, in retail, I NEVER saw a store get as TRASHED!!! I walked through Friday early morning and was slacked jawed! People are just beyond imagination! PIGS! I found cosmetics in housewares, comforters in women’s shoes, I couldn’t even walk through men’s/women’s coats because they threw the merchandise on the floor or just winged it over another fixture! I was more emotionally drained than physically. Actually sad. Customers have -respect for things that are not theirs. Oh, and this whole T-R-Us is going to be a freaking NIGHTMARE! Parents let their kids literally rip into stuff or walk around the whole store with it until you find it in the mattress dept or the cosmetic dept.! And then there’s the pizza boxes, half full Starbucks drinks orrrr the full Chinese food order that someone forgot and left on the cosmetic counter. I actually texted my friend who works at Nieman Marcus and asked him if their customers are as gross & disrespectful!

These active shooter incidents are out of control and our store doesn't even have any AP people, we managers are expected to give service to the bad element that continues to come into our store every night. Nobody cares, we have a customer bill of rights that stops us from taking any action and we just watch the criminals run out the door with armfuls of merchandise, do smash and grabs at our fine jewelry counters, and as----t employees when they are pi---d about masks or not having merchandise.

We have people stealing two or three times a day and now have to be on weekly calls about getting ready for inventory in January. We can't even fill our picks since so much stuff has been stolen, our loss is gonna be big.

We went over all our goals.

Crazy busy, very gross and nasty. Store is still a mess cuz Saturday was just as busy, apparently they made $2 million but still wasn’t enough as they wanted to make $3 million.
