Since I would very much like to do that, because not only do I no longer want to work at NOV but I no longer want such a volatile and unstable job, I am interested in the experiences of those who have successfully changed careers. For now, main problem for me is that I don't have enough skills necessary to make the change.

Rednecks and losers always think Chinese and Indian have taken over Computer science and data science jobs. They didn't see white people are managers over them. Most have pivoted their career from oil field to big techs and earn a quarter millions compensation in Texas.
