There used to be some but now we have subpar pay, lousy managers who have no idea what they're doing, horrible working conditions, and very little chance to advance. Not sure what happened Hy-Vee, but you really need to find a way to get your sh-t together. There were never as many unhappy employees as there are now.

As someone who left the store and moved over to the warehouse I can honestly say it was the best Decision I ever made. If you live in the Des Moines area look for openings at the warehouse. It’s totally different than the stores and they treat you like actual human beings.
All the good help has left, I’m the only one who knows what to do in my dept besides my manager. We won’t pay good enough, and we are stuck getting what we pay for. You guys are burning me out. In fact, I think I just made up my mind.
We have management hired with no grocery experience, they have no clue what to do,how to handle situations and they come in and try to make a name for themselves by trying to tell people that have been there twenty or more years.The moral in ALL these stores is in the tank and all the negativity by the supervision when they come in doesn't help.Beware,you do not want to work for this company.
