Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

You people are really sad

You people who were laid off are really sad... So many posts on LinkedIn about how you were impacted by the events, blah blah.. Where is your dignity and composure? During a non-working leave period you are still technically employed by the company.

You are better off looking for work and telling prospective employers that you are still employed there -- if they ask.. When they ask why you want to leave, you tell them you are hearing rumors about more layoffs in Q1 and want to get ahead of any potential impacts and that there have been so many changes it no longer makes sense to work there, blah, blah.

Anyone who sees or knows that you are unemployed is either going to pass over your resume or is going to take advantage of your situation.

For the folks in FTL who were impacted.. Good luck finding a comparable salary in the FTL area given how much Citrix over paid people. Especially for you Managers, Sr Managers and Directors...

As a Citrix share holder I am sad to see good engineers are being let go while the bad management stays in place. Management keeps their favorite people in place regardless of their talent while many good engineers get laid off. I lost hope for a Citrix turn around.

your best bet isnt to wait to be laid off where you can be taken advantage off.
start looking now... get out of citrix

if i had co-workers like the one who orginally posted i would leave (if thats the people they are keeping it explains why citrix is failing). its normal for people to be passionate about there job and care and be heart broken when fired.

if they didnt care.... they wouldnt post anything. some were 15-20 citrix experts and had built entire citrix communities around citrix products.

its clear citrix doesnt view its employees well, you guys need to leave if you actually looking at doing a good job and passionate about product. you have time to send resumes while you have time till the next layoffs and take your pick who has a better culture who fosters the right kind of employees.

as a big enterprise citrix customer im disgusted how they treated there staff
i certainly wont be recommending citrix services on any project im on!

How about the pathetic current Citrix employees posting paragraph after paragraph on LinkedIn about they want to help those impacted? They are fake SOBs who don’t want to help. The only reason people like you are making these comments is because there are hundreds of thousands of people posting on LinkedIn that they were impacted and it makes Citrix look bad! Customers and partners deserve the truth!

Jokes on you sad little person because recruiters don’t care as they want to get people in and the hiring manager isn’t seeing it. A lot of people laid off are now in talks with several leads, and recruiters are hiring o me up asking to send those impacted to them.

Oh and they did it publicly and you’re just an anon

"@cyd+1e03w4Jr"... The other poster has a point. you do not want to come off as desperate or unemployed because right or wrong there is a stigma associated with it, especially for people who thought it was a good idea to stay here for 15 - 20 years.
