I don't think GA is to be blamed for that as it's always mostly up to the individual employee and his commitment to the job. However, do you also think that most of us here have outdated skills?

Everyone at GA has outdated skills sets. GA won’t hire you unless you have an outdated skill set Bc all tech and processes are outdated. So you will not be able to fit in nor work unless you have no skills
I have seen a manager leave GA 3 times get fired at the other companies and GA welcome her back with open arms! Failures at other companies are too performing managers at GA!
Anyone can be retrained except a GA employee. You can’t train work ethic!

Your statement would make you appear to be a GA lifer. GA’s culture does not allow an individual to gain up to date skills. The cycle is this - improve a process that would require a lifer to gain new skills and a target 🎯 is put on your back. Actually work 9 hours and a target 🎯 is out on your back for making others look bad. So one cannot be motivate or improve processes that are outdated Bc the culture at GA will not allow it. That’s is why it take a special person to work at GA long term. GA is the 99 cent market of the defense industry and it can take not retain a 99 cent workforce.
