Thread regarding Teradata Corp. layoffs

Diversity and Inclusion Training

We are spending so much time on this and it is diverting attention from our core business. I have over 20 emails from KCC on this.

Here is your Diversity training simplified. 1. Respect everyone no matter their background, 2. Be nice to people and respect different viewpoints, 3. Avoid talking about s-x and politics at work.

That’s it. Let’s focus on our core business, please!

You won’t find supporting data because it’s all a woke sham. But a good anecdotal example will be coming soon watching the diversity hire as CMO.

They say diversity leads to higher performing companies. This sounds good but other than some contrived study from McKinsey I have not seen any data. Does anyone have data that supports this claim? If it’s true, you could support all the D&I initiatives as valid business strategy. If not, they are just social engineering experiments.

How arrogant can this managerial class be to think they should teach us about morality and values? I don’t look to a corporation to teach me morality especially after I watch these heartless managers lay off countless people with 10 minute phone calls and no appreciation for their years of service. SM and KCC especially show no respect to older Teradata employees.

They call it diversity but the last thing they want are diverse opinions. If you don’t support all the liberal policies they push they will try to cancel you. And they want you to move from respectful tolerance to full acceptance.

Why don’t people push back on this? We don’t need for profit companies to teach us morals and values. All this social engineering is filled with conflicts of interest.

I agree most live all three. It’s always been an inclusive culture. So why do we need all this extra training? To fit in with the woke culture and give KCC something to take credit for? Let’s sell software and stop the social engineering.

Most Teradatans live all three of these - it's what makes me proud to be here

The first two were never required for CT. Do they now? He disrespects everyone and goes beyond not nice to outright abusive.
And did it qualify as respectful and nice when M.e referred to Dayton employees as hi--------s?
