My exemption was denied, I guess I am getting the shot to keep my job. I have my family to think of first. Has anyone actually gotten an exemption approved?

Mine was denied. I'll be done January fourth. I have another job lined up from a company that wants people to fix their locomotives.

And just so you know, per EEOC guidelines your exemption need not be based on "religion", and even if it is I suggest you don't mention a specific organized religion or sect. HR will just point to a recognized leader of that church as making a statement that has some level of support for the vaccine. And while the Pope's vaccine comments are trotted out by the pro jab crowd, he DID say it was up to the conscience of the individual...
Dude made a personal choice to get the shot. Others make a personal choice to not get the shot. You have the info make the choice that works for you. Work is a toxic place and people on both sides add to it. Then everyone wonders why we can’t get on the same page. We have the freedom to make the choice we want knowing what the outcome could be.. The pope & vatican approve of the covid vaccine. Religious exemption is complete nonesense.
You won’t get a religious exemption. The heads of all the major religions have stated they don’t support exemptions for the vaccine. Even Trumps supporter Baptist preacher Robert Jeffries said there is no biblical reason to not take the vaccine. Either take it or find another job. There are plenty of companies looking for workers, so you shouldn’t have difficulty finding work. I would not put down in the application that you quit because of the vaccine though.
