Boeing using cheap labor and suppliers and it's costing everyone big in the end. You would think GE would see it happening and start paying and treating their employees better. They would rather send the work south of the border to save a buck. GENx out.

It’s not slave labor.. anyone can be taught to put the same engine together. It’s because you Americans and your unions are greedy and lazy!
quarter wise long term foolish. The GE way of doing things.
It's not solved because slave labor is still used to make components. GE seems eager to be a modern day slave trader if it means making more money. Why not pay more to the work force and live a life you can be proud of.
It not so much the cheap labor its the benefit cost of american workers. vacation, time off ,healthcare, work/safety rules, retirement/pension and employee based matching taxes. No manufacturing companies have been able to solve this issue. so don't count on GE to do so. American worker will need to give up some things to compete like every increasing time off. I don't want to sacrifice those benefits and won't but i realize its not going to work out that way in the long run.
It's sad
It's the new corporate mindset... Short term thinking, make a quick buck, give a dividend to the shareholder, and then be completely screwed in the long run... Sad to see where the company is now.
