Yeah, SAIP was a genius idea on mgmt's part to keep the overall level of salaries lower and reduce the overall level of benefits paid out. Those boys sure know what they are doing.
The Government has set a policy. Expats are being pushed out to make room for Saudis. Aramco is no longer allowed to pay expats a premium compared to other large SA companies. This policy will continue unless something major brakes. Low oil prices will accelerate it, but high oil prices won't stop it let alone reverse it. Today's offer might be worse than an offer a few years ago, but it is much better than one you will get in a few years if you even get one at all.
Still cheap due to SAIP program.
