As devastated as I was when I was laid off last year, it has been one of the biggest blessings of my life. I got a 40% pay increase, now have unlimited PTO & significantly better benefits, work at a fantastic remote-first company, and have had 2 entirely phenomenal managers. I left a horrifically toxic work environment at RJ that I went to HR about before I was one of the 550…no longer work for THE most toxic (micro)manager I’ve ever worked for, I’m no longer spoken down to or constantly criticized by my manager, and my hard work is actually recognized and appreciated. Everyone reading this: you can do MUCH better than RJ. I’m glad I got the chance to see that.

There is a great tech company in Tampa that has lots of job openings if you are in IT. They treat us like people and you won't have Paul, Bella or Vin to deal with anymore.
congrats to you! I recently left RJ too for a company in Tampa. What a difference to work in technology at a normal company. I don't have to work crazy hours on outages or get screamed at weekly by my manager. I ended up getting 20% more and everyone thanks me for my work and joining the team, rather then abusing me like the my last 8 years at RJ!
Care to share the new employer ? Sounds like a nice company to work for lol
