Thread regarding General Electric Co. layoffs

Don't Blame GE

People here are blaming GE for requiring vaccinations, but they forget that this is an executive order from the President. GE relies heavily on federal contracts and therefore must comply with the executive order. Without these federal contracts a lot of GE people, union and management, would be out of a job. Blame the President if you are upset with the vaccination mandate, go and protest in front of the federal buildings, not GE facilities. In NY, you can blame yourselves for voting for the current President. Perhaps you should have voted for the incumbent President. BUT DON'T BLAME GE for requiring vaccinations.

Not true. 45 had a 'no CRT' order which was ignored.

Hopefully all those outraged over losing the right to control their own bodies will realize what women have been up against since the anti choicers stacked the courts and legislatures.

Wake up America -- If I don't have the right to choose as a women in states like Texas-- why should you expect anything different?

I disagree with the assumption that GE would lose lucrative government contracts. Who would supply the spare parts, maintenance, and engines for the military fighter jets? Pratt and Whitney? Rolls Royce? Ha ha. It would be a national security disaster. GE and other large corporations agree, encouraged, and support the mandate. They put the government up to it to deflect blame and take the heat. GE modus operandi.

The union can not save your job on this one. 200 members will loose their jobs just like the police, hospitals and fire personal. It’s happening all over the country.
