To be clear, it was never a perfect workplace but it was better than this. At least I knew the people above me were good at their jobs and I could rely on them if I needed help. Now I know more than any of them. Since they started promoting based on nepotism and the ability to kiss the right a-s instead of merit, things have gone downhill really quickly. I think I'm at the point where I'm ready to leave.

Just curious how come no one expose their dirty practice of laying off employee before their anniversary days, to make their numbers with the streets?
Had to agree I with much of the mentioned above - it’s real, ugly company, greedy CEO, bad management to work for.
Disastrously incompetent management, greedy CEO, overpaid clueless engineers. Unsustainable quality. Corporate shithole. All day meetings, like a North Korean company.
Skyworks has always been a "Bottom Line" Company. They are run by accountants, not scientists or engineers. They cannot tell the difference between an worthless engineer and a real innovator. It's all run by a group of bean-counters. Always has, always will!
I spent 7 years here and it was a good run. Cannot complain much…
