How do we have people who have been here for more than five years and who have no idea how to do their jobs AND who manage to survive every round of layoffs despite having no idea how to do their jobs? I think in any normal company those people would be long gone. Here, however, they thrive. That tells a lot about the current state of GE.

I'm sure when you had 5 years in, people was talking the same sm--k that you're talking. Thing that's different, there was no social media during you're time.
@1nzw+1dqK5yQT If the T rates had taken opportunities that they’ve already passed up, they wouldn’t have to worry about hitting the street.
Easy, I bet those people are the ones who suck up to their bosses at every chance they get. Then of course claim credit for work that others have done.
Have faith in your Union brothers! We will overcome these hard times! If more D.rates would just retire, the T rates would get to enjoy more opportunities.
I would just be glad if we would never have a Lean-Shingi-Kaizen-Kata event at our business again. It solves virtually nothing and I have to read the exaggerated spin on the results in an email. Ugghh! GE over the years has outsourced too much and depended on vendors and suppliers too long. Fix the supply chain people! Then, and only then, send a Sensei with common sense to “fix” our process.
You should quit worrying about other people abilities and focus on yourself. That the problem. You got your nose in somebody's else's kool-aid. Just quit it. Geeze!!
When there are "managers" walking the floor that are completely clueless as to what they're looking at, it's not hard to hide incompetence...
I guess your going to be let go at the layoff time. Well It’s called hiding for the onion dues club. Ha ha get ready to hit the streets again good luck
