Thread regarding Cengage layoffs

Nobody wants to stay here.

People are leaving more than ever or at least I don’t remember them ever leaving more than now. Every week one or even more people leave with whom it was pleasant to work with.
This company doesn't seem to worry much about it, but it worries me a lot because my job is getting harder. How does attrition affect you?

Greetings,

Many of the best and brightest wish to stay in EdTech. Unfortunately many of these resources are unable to adapt during the transition to EdTech and that causes layoffs.

Layoffs are not voluntary and many of the long term employees do not wish to embrace the concept of becoming their own CEO.

Question for HR. Can we take our mental health days during the NES? I'll be sleeping one off and cuddling with my NES Sweetie who I havent seen since COVID started.

I'm also staying until the NES because there's so many married rawwr girls who demand attention per usual every single year it's like ducks in a barrel.
You go girl, yass, slay rawwwr.

I just had a thought after reading the 15 years comment. If you've been at Cengage since the acquisition, you've never seen a year of growth during your tenure. Why would anyone want to do that?

Nothing's changed in the past decade except the number of job opening. It's a buyer's market, which is why all your pleasant and hard working colleagues are bolting. Spread your wings and fly.

You have to be kidding right? Anyone with a pulse can find another job these days. Either accept your fate or move on, snowflake. The company is what it is. It has been a mess for almost 15 years now. And you are just now figuring this out?
