Thread regarding Sungard Availability Services layoffs

SGAS is circling the drain

SGAS is circling the drain, it’s pretty obvious.
You all need to leave as soon as you can, on your own terms.

Management is only concerned with numbers, not people. And they have proven over the years that they are not able to right the ship that was destroyed by AS and SL.

I couldn't agree with you more, @6sei+1dhpa844. If there ever was a time to leave, it's now.

Hey, let's restart the rumor about the master plan from AB being put into play to save the day!

@5jam

Maybe 10 years ago you could see that happening. Never pull it off now, with the "talent" we have on-hand.

“I heard AD & SH started an only fans to close the gap on MRR”

What I heard is, they also want to restart recovery automation. Get it going again. There was a meeting that got really heated over the direction and they got opposition because some felt it’s a defunct product. “In-fighting” was what I got out of that alleged meeting.

@3vkw

Riding this one out, doing as little as possible until the very end. It's hilarious.

They'll figure a way to pay themselves though. You can count on that. Usually thorough some rifs to help the dismal numbers.

Bonuses? This is the funniest thing I have heard in a long time. Take a deep breath and get back into the real world. Tons of money spent of failed products, nothing selling, customers leaving, people being laid off regularly, leadership rarely if at all addressing the staff, etc and you want a bonus based on performance??

What makes you think they’re going to give a bonus to employees? Nobody has received a raise in years and the comp plan screws sales over.

Bonuses, how could you possibly get a bonus when all they have done is layoff people.....so let me get this straight layoff people so mgnt can get a bonus for failing. If anyone in this company gets a bonus it should be the people that work in DCO, they come to work when everybody else sits at home on their a-s pretending they're working.

Any chance of them paying bonuses this year??? They surely haven't met any sales goals, but with all the cost cutting, maybe the bottom line isn't too bad.
