This has been alluded to all this year during visits and from store managers and it makes sense.
Receiving/Fufilment/AYS would report to the MBA. The expansion of this role this year has shown where that manager role is headed.
For Focus businesses (W.Shoes, Big Ticket, Beauty,BackStage, Fine Jewelry) CSX there are in charge of the whole process from truck being put away. markdowns, setting sales, etc...
So no large change.
Some have multiple focus businesses and with elimination of OVM (if true) and more managers on the floor perhaps each CSX would only have 1 business to run.
The biggest change would be to apparel CSX's . I could see OVMs being put there in RTW and Mens
Comment below about Support setting sales before store opens...Jewelry sets their own sale during the day while business is happening and usually starts the evening before a few hours before closing. It can be done we have been doing it down there for years and it is set by the selling associates and clerical
Also they are rolling out a register consolidation project to combine more clusters of registers together with bigger bays one per floor.
You would have people zoned as cashiers and the rest of the team zoned to the floor, doing markdowns, setting sale and assisting customers.
You pick up a ringing shift or you pick up a sales floor tasking shift, that is how sales/support combines. We were literally told this was going to happen in my neck of the woods.
If you did not know this was coming you are blind or do not have a store manager who has been transparent with you since Q2 for upcoming changes in Spring 2022. The only part of this I was unaware of was the OVM elimination and expansion/redesign of the CSX role.
I am nobody in the "know" I just am not blind and can see the writing on the wall.
