This is not regarding the retail side of CVS but the IT side.
AETNA/CVS employees were laid off in March of 2021 in the IT data center in Middletown, CT. Employees went into work that day and night and had to get on a zoom call for them to be told they were gone. CVS reduced the IT department by more than half and their jobs were given to INDIA.. Again some people were let go immediately and the ones that had to stay a month had to train the group from India that took their jobs. They had to do it in order to get severance. CVS changed the severance package before the lay off and only gave employees 13 WEEKS of severance and insurance and more than half of the employees were there for MORE than 35 years. When CVS took over everything changed for the worse for the former Aetna employees. Will never walk into another CVS store again!

wow..glad I didn't accept the offer there.
Most of the corporate Leadership on the cvs leadership page are Aetna employees. They are ran Aetna in the ground and now they are running CVS in the ground. The previous poster had it correct Aetna was a dying company and the worst insurance company. All you have to do is look at our employee insurance plans to know they were the worst.
CVS only bought Aetna as a desperation move to try to fight off Amazon's entry into the pharmacy market. I guess cvs thought they couldn't fight off Amazon on their own.
CVS bought the WORST insurance company, that was a failing company when they bought Aetna and you blame CVS for trimming the fat?….all full time CVS employees were forced onto this horrible insurance, all the while hours were being cut in store to pay for this expenditure…I hate that y’all were laid off but honestly Aetna was a going to tank sooner or later if CVS hadn’t made the decision to buy….
CVS leadership acts like sociopaths. This isn't just name calling, it is literally textbook sociopathy. This is more evidence of that. See also @OP+1c0MEkZZ.
Will never walk into another CVS store again!
