Last statement is partial true but if an engineer wrote it he should be fired or maybe at Qualcomm he is seen as a superstar. 4G and 5G do have 3G technology in it but less and less Qualcomm patents are used as the technology advances. Qualcomm hasn’t lost much revenue due to more devices connecting (I.e. more people buying phones and more things getting connected and Qualcomm lawyers keeping the business model in place - which is the main reason). But China is battle for 6G and it’s only a matter of time before they win…. And that is a game changer
It is not 5G. It is not even 4G. It is 3G that gives you the paycheck. No phone can sell if it cannot connect to 3G, the technology which Q has the most essential patents.
