Everyone else is a snowflake, and yet you’re the one constantly whining like a baby about everything you perceive as “woke”. Get a life, it’s an extra day off.
Folks in Canada get one extra day every month.
Wake up people. The only reason this was done is because Juneteenth is now a federal holiday. It wasn’t a grand gesture by the corporation to boost morale, they had to do it to comply with the new laws.
There must be another holiday recently recognized by a woke affinity group that EM would never honor directly but wants to protect itself against a lawsuit from that group by adding another floating holiday.
Any company with as many lawyers as EM would do same. Nothing to see here except getting another paid day off if we are woke or not.
This probably just means the raises won’t be good, it’s like they’re softening the blow.
A compromise most likely to a non holiday.
I was just laughing about how much of an annoyance this will be for the payroll people that deal with the hourly workers
