Rude customers

"Customers are always right", but c'mon... do we really need to tolerate even the rudest customers?

I feel like a punching bag in this company. I tolerate it all just so I could pay the bills.

Macy's does nothing to protect us even from that.This company is a disgrace.

Usually the issue is about something that the customer dislikes or wants some kind of special discount. If you feel that it is something that you can't handle or don't have the authority to approve, politely inform the customer that you will get a manager to help and make the call. This is retail and you get rude customers everywhere.

Excuse yourself politely with an "upset stomach" and walk to rest room. If co-worker or supervisor comment explain that you have had occasional "bouts" since your co-vid recovery or shots or PTSD etc. NO ONE wants to go there. keep peptobismol in your locker.

Are you for real?????? Rude customers are everywhere. There's nothing any company can do about them. To disparage Macy's over it is preposterous!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You have the right to refuse to cash out or help them. Abusive customers are real. Walk away. Call a manager. Do not for one second allow a customer to disrespect you. Trust me- they won’t term you for it. Just don’t say anything to the customer.
