Ever since I finally accepted that they don’t care about employees at all, it’s been easier for me. I used to be very disappointed, but now there is no disappointment anymore. The only thing I sometimes wonder is what would manegement do here if they really did care about the employees, or at least the best ones among us?

There used to be ‘working’ managers and directors but those days are long gone.
They really don’t care. Even if they think they do, usually their hands are tied or they have their own personal interests out first. We have kids as managers with Diva attitudes on 1 end and others just hanging out until retirement or buyout. Final words. Newer employees will leave and the Senior staff will have to do Everything. Since management doesn’t work. Just saying. So get ready and keep your resume updated. You owe this company nothing more than a 2 week notice. After all, no job is worth an early stress induced death!
I had a meeting with my mgr today and several of us were messaging each other to see who can fake laugh at his d-mb jokes more. There are ways to pass the time.
You are a number. You are being ranked internally by your supervisor whether the company is using your full skill set our not. Apache is NOTORIOUS for putting employees in the wrong positions not utilizing their full skill set. As a result, your ranking number may/will be lower than it should. We're losing employees left and right, we're extremely understaffed AND morale is lower than low. They don't get it and never will at this point. Welcome to the new Project Ascend.

I accepted this a long time ago and yes it has been very freeing. Seems like everybody else is doing just enough work to not get fired and get that paycheck so why shouldn’t I join the club!
