Thread regarding Emerson Electric Co. layoffs

AspenTech Merger = Layoff?

Does this mean that we will have employees leaving Emerson to join the new company? Are layoffs coming for those of us that are staying put?

ISV will be sold in next few years. Any business that can’t hit 13% OP will get shipped away

99% of all mergers and acquisitions are funded with savings from layoffs called “synergies”. The growth synergies rarely materialize so you always fall back on headcount synergies. So, get ready for cuts once this thing closes.

Expect layoffs at DX and PSS as investment shifts to growing aspentech. Other low margin or struggling businesses will be sold.
Wild that 1st big move from LK is completing an acquisition from DNF and JF from yrs ago.

Poor Emerson employees. No raises, underpaid, no development, no growth opportunities, dying oil and gas segment. And how does Management make you feel better?

Oh yeah that’s right by blowing through 11 billion and merging so that a new name can attract top tech talent. You can’t make this up.

More likely that management will use it as an excuse to ‘thin the herd’?
