Thread regarding Teradata Corp. layoffs

Attrition through the roof and CHRO talking about about Hearts and Hands

I have been here five plus years and yesterday’s all hands was singularly the worst meeting I have attended. Which is saying something. KCC on a call recently said, that people don’t leave for money they leave because of their managers. Now it’s the great resignation. Excuse after excuse. Is it any wonder we are losing good people if we have to sit through meetings like the employee meeting. Clueless

When a company has nothing else to offer, it becomes all about the money. If you joined Teradata before 2020, you need to understand that data management related IT salaries have absolutely exploded the past couple of years. You wouldn't sell your house or car for 15% plus below current market rates, so why would you sell your labor to Teradata for a discount, especially when the company has no problem overpaying incompetent executives?

First thing KCC said that made any sense. It wasn't the money that made me leave, but a 17% pay increase sure didn't hurt either.

They are tone deaf. Lay offs three years running, treat people left poorly, alienate half the employees with social and political stances, and talk about winning hearts. Seriously? These people are clueless
