Does our leadership even want to make Q more innovative? It seems to me that they do not, because they easily give up innovative people to other companies.

Too many VP’s, too much hierarchy, and too many decisions by committee.
If Qualcomm wants to innovate they need to thin the management herd.
Wow! So harsh! True but harsh.
Qualcomm hasn’t developed a new product since CDMA. The only reason why any engineer has a job today is Bc of Qualcomm lawyers who were able to convince the federal government to block Broadcom from taking over. Broadcom didn’t want Qualcomm for QCA or QCT… Broadcom only wanted QTL…. So everyone who thinks they are top rating and working with leading edge technology is just mental ill! You are growing oranges 🍊 at Qualcomm and customer will always look for a cheaper price!
I heard that in QCA, there are full of people from top schools and very innovative, however, I also heard that some might say wifi is a dead end and not as competitive as cell phone market, which one is true? But, at least people still give a shxt about QCT.
@OP Just stop complaining and move to a better place if you think you are "innovative" sheesh man. Everybody knows that Qualcomm is a commodity and it attracts 3rd Tier engineers and foreigners who need visa sponsorship. Qualcomm has been always like this for years, nothing new. Move on dude.
To keep innovate people you have to pay top dollar and have vision. Qualcomm hasn’t had vision in over 15 years. But a commodity company is not bad. And by definition innovate people will leave a commodity company - so if you are still at Qualcomm it is very telling
