I thought the best I could do was Macys and I was afraid of change. I was at my location for years and felt comfortable - as if I belonged. Each time I thought about leaving, I remembered the good times I’ve had and forgot about all the bad things. It kept me going for a while. But I knew that I wanted to better myself, I knew that I deserved better. I scrimped, saved and went without to be able to take the average courses just to be able to take a step up. I applied and went through interviews with certificates in hand and landed my very first professional job as an office clerk. If I can do it anyone can. All you need is determination to reach your goals.

Leaving was the best thing you could’ve done. it’s your life, up to you to get what you want. I was laid off 5 years ago. Blessing in disguise. When I left Macy’s I never looked back, paid off my cc balance cut my platinum card in half, never bought anything at Macy’s ever again. Today in a much better position, money and career wise. Wake up people! Please don’t take the advice of a new associate, probably mean well but are absolutely clueless.
