Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

This is all on BK

The damage started under CRB, who was clueless about leadership and running a company. However the real deep and lasting damage was inflicted by BK. He is resposible for the loss of technical leadership while head of TMG. The 10nm trainwreck all points toward BK. Then as CEO his misguided policies completely destroyed the cultural fabric of the company.

@gas+1dYRtnDy makes an excellent point. I reposted it into a thread because it really needed to be on top.

Just as a note: Andy Grove hated Craig Barrett. Unfortunately
, Gorden Moore loved him and Moore had more stock than Grove.

You mean like encouraging Engineering by giving half their bonus to office staff?

Remember that intern who walked up to BK in the cafeteria. She said lets do drones, and BK created a drones dept, for olympics then followed through to cut engineering and created all kinds of chaos. “drones” and buying junk companies, stock buy backs is a mo--nic use of intel money. Only Burglar King would do such things!

Don’t blame Barrett. When he was there the company still resembled what we all remember with a smile.

BK was also more interested in getting his pictures taken with fashion models in NYC than doing anything resembling actual work at Intel. Remember Opening Ceremony and MICA? Flying drones at CES keynotes?

Big Klown indeed, sold his stock before Specter/Meltdown was public disclosed, and of course the BOD was too gutless to do anything about it.

Dont worry Omicron is here to save Intel's sorry a55 in 2022.
In 2020 mistakes were covered up by COVID Delta.
In 2021 supply chain was the excuse.
In 2022 it will be Omicron.

OP nailed it. People bashing Pat are blaming the clean-up crew for last night’s kegger. Except in this case, it was less of a party and more of a self-congratulatory me-fest done by BK

I wouldn't say it's ALL on BK.

He didn't help, but this is an inevitable outcome of the smartphone revolution.
Intel could do nothing to stop it.

Technologies change ALL OF THE TIME and no company is safe in tech.

The Burglar King sure made a mess! Walked in RNB cafeteria saw he sat in the middle table. All was darkness around cuz no one really dared to sit near him. When the sliding door opened. He stared at me like a deer in headlight. What a maroon this guy is.
