Thread regarding Red Hat layoffs

Who's doing fine here?

Some say RH can actually be a pretty good place to work. Is anyone doing good here except those at the top of the hierarchy and maybe those for whom RH is a first job and are just getting their first work experiences?

You can choose where you work .. office or wfh. Although there may be some Consulting gigs that may require you to be onsite.

Are workers back in the office or allowed to work remote?

Red Hat never ki---d their acquisitions. Most of them do excellent after Red Hat acquired them. Look at Ceph, Ansible, CoreOS, CentOS. CentOS stream is a better open source/community project than old CentOS which was just a RHEL rebuild. One of the company which Red Hat kind of stopped investing is Gluster. But it was done after around 10 years of acquisition.

Red Hat is one of the best place for learning. Specially folks who are starting with their IT career.

Mini IBM? Guess you can call us Blue Hat now. Look what happened to CentOS, it’ what Blue Hat does best, ki-l their acquisitions.

Sadly I must agree with above. Many of us leaving RH or is presented with option to look for a new role. Loads of nepitism and people with unethical behaviour. Some departments on geo level are German inclusive only. Diversity is none existing and you may be put aside of without even questions what your job responsibilities are. People just leaving or are put in linmbo for months and then fired. Beware
