I'm not saying it's the company's fault, it's my fault that I stayed here much longer than I should have. Always thinking about bills that have to be paid, I forgot that no one should be content just having a job....... Meanwhile, Sears has worn me out, I’m older and less marketable and I tell my experience to everyone as a lesson that one should never stay in companies like this for too long.

Tell your s-b stories to Oprah or Dr. Phil.
Get retrained. There is money for training right now. Call your states department of employment services. Free training. It exists.
I called Chicago Ridge to ask about Fieldmaster & it says the number is disconnected? Can't seem to find anything online if the store is open or not -- would anyone local be willing to confirm to me?
Just think, all of this could have been avoided If only you had found out earlier that Sears was having financial problems…. If only.
Cry me a river.
You can still get FIELDMASTER at Chicago Ridge store.
Whatever happened to the Sears Fieldmaster brand?
Most of us should have left long before being laid off.
Ya OP should stop being a sick AH crybaby. When he has the news, report it. Else go cry somewhere else. I can provide the sad piano music.
Don't be a sick AH .The persons advice was good.
OP is likely a troll, who has seen 1 too many sappy, Hallmark B-movies, and wanted to stir the p-t here. Yawn, next.
Do you want me to play you a violin? This isn't therapy session here. Post your s-b-stories elsewhere. If you have any layoff-related news, please post it. Other than that, you can make an appointment with a psychologist, or someone, in your area. They'll happily let you Pay them to listen to this maudlin plea/schmaltz.
Happy Thanksgiving.
