Thread regarding Nordstrom layoffs

Glad I no longer work for Nordstrom

Earnings today look like it's gonna be a bloodbath -- the mood must be dire.

For the record, the “Superbowl Shuffle” made lots of money.

Maybe if the Nordstrom brothers stopped dumping money into the d-mbest things - like producing a song/Nordstrom jingle…. why? Has anyone else heard this song? And they have the audacity to say profit loss is from rising labor costs…. Actually, stop spending corporate $$$$ on the most useless ideas.

It’s so insulting, as an employee, to be shown sh-t like this, week after week. In every Nsider News newsletter we get, we are shown a million different ideas and projects that all cost money, while us little guys are taking on more projects than ever with no additional compensation or recognition, and the company is gonna blame “rising labor costs.”

Shareholders aren’t interested in a company that’s tanking, and potential employees aren’t interested in working retail h-ll for peanuts. Existing employees are burnt to a crisp. Bad decisions trickle down.

What a disaster today. How much more can the family take, before they liquidate what they can and retire?

Yuge EPS miss. Gotta cut the fat!

Survival time! Whose IT project in flight right NOW is actually essential?

No, really, essential to survive.
