I'm seeing more and more new employees who are around for less then a year before being laid off. I'm not sure what's the point of bringing people on just to get rid of them within a year, but I do feel bad for them. For many that is the first working experience, and it turns out to be a horrible one. At least they'll have learned their lesson by then, I guess.
