Thread regarding W.B. Mason layoffs

Have any branches closed?

With all of the managers/reps jumping ship… have any branches consolidated or closed yet?

I HEARD THEY ARE GOING TO START JOINING OFFICES WHENEVER THEY CAN STARTING IN 2022. NO REASON TO KEEP AN OFFICE WITH 2 SALES REPS OPEN WHEN THEY CAN SEND THEM TO ANOTHER BRANCH. MANAGERS WILL TAKE A HIT ALSO.

Staples cutting furniture doesn’t really mean anything about them buying Mason. They would buy Mason for the accounts and to eliminate their largest competitor in the northeast right before Sycamore takes it public and cashed out.

As soon as Staples buys Mason they’ll “furlough” majority of non telephone reps. That’s only if Mason doesn’t go Bankrupt from all the lawsuits.

I don’t think Staples will be buying anyone. Check out their pages here on the Layoff, sounds just like WB in fact they just canned their entire contract furniture staff… it’s just a bigger sh-t show then we are

I don’t think any branches have officially closed but I know some have moved out of whatever building they were in and are now working out of an Essendent Warehouse.

It’s probably easier this way for those reps because when Staples buys them, they won’t have to worry about going to another office.
