I’m considering an IT position at Enbridge. What is IT like there? Interested in opinions from people that have worked at other companies before Enbridge, especially Oil & Gas majors and smaller Midstream players.

If you are unemployed go for it, otherwise you are going to regret your decision, lofe is he-l in there
This is true. Almost all commoditized IT work has been outsourced. However there is a core group composed of employees that is still a relatively stable and well paid place to be. But you didn't specify what kind of IT work you can do. Might as well say you'd like a job doing, "computers and stuff."
FYI..Enbridge decided a few years back to outsource most of its IT positions in the USA and Canada to India. Not sure what position in the organization your considering but be aware this company likes to outsource. Most of the experienced IT staff were laid off or have left on their own. Also, most IT positions are just advisors and management with bulk of work done overseas. Good luck in your decision.
Not sure what position you are applying for - if you are looking to be a sacrificial pr-------e pawn whose only purpose is to do work for your supervisor, then Enbridge is for you.
You will be contracted out.
They suck.
I do not know about "IT" at Enbridge, but if you meant "IP" then you are looking at an opportunity to join the elite of the elite. We only employ the top talent the industry has to offer, and it shows in our contributions. If you are cut from the cloth of superstar talent then we want to review your resume.
What a softball question. It's like going on any team's forum, and shouting, "Hey! How bad are those ?"
The opposite of trolling. Even less useful.
they are NFG, consider other options
