I've said this before and I'll say it again, being laid off from here would be a blessing (for as long as severance is involved). I know it must be a huge shock right now for the people who were cut, but I can guarantee you that every single one will end up in a better company within a few months. The rest of us, however, will now have to do our work and the work of those who were laid off for the same pay. Our situation just worsened significantly. If I were laid off, I'd be jumping for joy.

Just take it easy. There will be more rounds each quarter.
And it is exactly these kinds of people (like the originator of this post) who make a challenging company terrible. Don't be greedy and do yourself and everybody else a favor and resign already. Thank you!
