Message to the new Co-Presidents

The great danger to CVS is we continue to have leaders who lack self-awareness where their reality does not match the on the ground reality. The CVS President's fall happened less than a year in position comes from being surrounded by senior management that are not only fake as they come in stores and on conference calls, not keeping their words, fake smiles, lack of executive presence but she also failed to face the real employees she was leading addressing their concerns. Wecare was her number one priority instead of retention, hiring and finding solutions to manage the extra workflow in the stores during the pandemic while cutting hours at every corner.
How in the world, can they afford to pull 4 people from each district in the busiest season (1 pharmacist, 1 manager and 2 techs) to relaunch Wecare till Mid April 2022 when we have no people in the stores. They are offering now 50K bonus for pharmacists who they drove away by cutting hours, expecting more and more from them every day with flu and booster vaccines needed with its peak in the upcoming 2 months with the 18 + age boosters approved today. Who has the time to live in this non realistic world of senior leadership and their area presidents living in their own bubbles expecting Wecare certified stores with so many weekly documents to check and fill when everything is broken with zero work life balance.
Pages in the queue, nothing to do with the assignment board but no one in the store to assign tasks to. Shrink is high and service is low has nothing to do with greeting people when they come in since we have no one on the floor to do so.
To the new Co-Presidents, you have a chance to make CVS great again. Being the chosen candidates, get rid of those who are around you in senior positions and have been there for a while making the bad decisions year after year and start with a fresh new genuine senior team that can keep their words and walk their talks. Halt the relaunch of Wecare now. Focus on putting all resources to hire. Spend your energy engaging your employees. Find real solutions and results will come.

Just cut our hours again so full time, which should be a minimum of 30 hours, we’re not even making that. So there goes our medical. But keep hiring and giving less hours and you won’t have any employees left.

President didn’t quit someone fired her. Company is making changes to get rid of old timers and bring in new blood. Old timers whine too much

Someone should start a petition on change.org. maybe if enough employees sign it they'll realize how many people are actually unhappy. The word is out there on the streets which is half the reason why we can't find help and there's no one in the hiring pools. Unless something changes, the 900 store shutdown is going to turn into a 50% shutdown. They can't open stores with no help.

This is so true. The organizational change in senior management is essential for CVS retail to turn around. Steve Jobs once said " If you do the right thing on the top line, the bottom line will follow.If you get the right strategy, if you have the right people leading and if you have the right culture at your company; you will do the right things. If you do it right, the bottom line will follow".

Agreed, but they are posting record profits. Do yourself a favor and look up the cost of Covid vaccines. $52k for a vial of Moderna...The markup is unchallenged and fully funded by the mighty taxpayers. They certainly gave the money to staff the stores. They choose not to.
