Thread regarding Shell Oil layoffs

Money of the Day

This post @OP+1dSjOItF on the XOM board says these are the coming Jan raises planned at XOM, not at Royale Douche Botched-abo rtion).

O - 12-18%
E - 10-15%
VG - 5-12%
G - 2-3%
NI/NSI - Not eligible

What's in the works here at RDBA? Do white men get less? Should I raise my hand and volunteer for a paycut to fund the raise for some disempowered DEI colleague? That would definitely soothe my guilty conscience, and the consciences of my privileged deceased ancestors, all the way back to 1619. Can I? Can I please?

As an XOM employee. Raises are NO WHERE near these levels. 10% at the highest Outstanding assessment. Lucky if you get 2.5%

It is RDS policy that wage adjustments for inflation only fuel more inflation. They create the expectation of future inflation and put more disposable income in the hands of average consumers. Raises will not be based on inflation. All part of RDS policy of fixing what's wrong with the world on the backs of its employees.

"I got promoted 10% raise here. sit and spin on it lol"

So you're a DEI candidate?

How has money be doled out in the past? Inflation-plus? I guess my last raise was pretty good for low inflation times. So long ago I can barely remember it and my lazy a-s manager didn't bother to explain, just let me look it up in pre-Workday. Does ranking matter? Does DEI?
RDBA can't afford double digit raises across the board, unless of course they fire enough people to balance it out.

Raises will need to be at least 6.5% to keep up with inflation.

I don't think this board is useless. But there are a lot of stupid as-----s with the emojis (that guy jumps from board to board). And their lame calling to distract you from the undercurrent of employee dissatisfaction. Shell needs to listen, not squelch. Someone who knows something will post eventually. Hopefully the Xom info will put upward pressure on pay. Or give you some idea of your options.

This forum is useless, the vast majority of these posts being off-topic bu-----t. Surely someone has an inside/HR view on the targets for 2022 raises??

Equitable, and fair raises for those who are deserving. If you do not get that, then you simply are undeserving, deal with it.

I’m willing to say the WOKE community will be getting better raises than the people who are carrying them. I’ve seen first hand how Shell is boosting Woke people up the ladder and the real workers are being pushed to the side. I can’t wait for January 1st to see how things are going to work out when Shell is really short of experienced personnel

Nonsense. Doesn't answer the question. Why are you even bothering?

Yes, most people are strong by design of the system. I think you are the d-mb one who believes ranking is real and purposeful. It's rigged. The key is to learn how and use it to your advantage. You must be a JG5, maybe 4 (and a slow learner), to believe otherwise. Raises, I hope, will keep up with inflation. DEI will only impact ranking, so indirectly to raises. Depends on what management wants to demonstrate to their management. So we are white males who did some work, then we are strong, unless we can carry the powers that be.

Can someone answer the * question? Just want to know what kind of raise to expect in 2022. I’ll be ** if it’s anything less than 5% given no raise last year and inflation out the a$$ here in the US

Muppets attract the anti-Christ so I'm afraid there's nothing I can do. You can't put a $ on that so no $50 for you good sir.

One act of kindness a day will make all of the pain go away. Tis the season of giving thanks. Give thanks to your company and have a merry muppet christmas

Muppet its a bad question because we can all see the anger in your heart. You had a statement, not a question. And it was a PANCAKE statement at that

Homie, if you’re so upset with the PAY/CULTURE, quit and find another job. Seriously. People from Avanti/Reshape are back working making more. The market is hot right now.

Back to the root of the question - what kind of raise can we expect in the Strong category? Let’s be real we are all in Strong unless you are a major brownnoser or **** the bed this past year.
