Baker Hughes “Benefits”?

Just got my Baker Hughes “Platform” leaflet through the post. It’s asking me to review and update my benefit choices before 8th Dec. The package chosen will then become active 1st Jan.
If undelivered this leaflet is to be returned to Baker Hughes Human Capital & Technology at Portlethen several miles south of Aberdeen.
When I received it I phoned the friendly Platform help desk and asked the poor gent on the other end if he was taking the pi-s. He claimed he did not know that the BOD plant was closing Jan. Maybe they are a bit sheltered that far south of town.
He then suggested I phone H.R. if I had any issues but he didn’t have their phone number.
I suggested he and his team should expect some calls a lot less friendly than mine at which point he suggested I have a nice day.

Working on a help desk doesn’t mean you need to help anyone. You do your shift then you go home. That’s it. That’s what they pay you for.

Calm down mr needy, don’t you think benefits and hr have better things to do than consider the feelings or future of has beens. They have their own a-s to cover.

No one cares whetherBOD is closing or not. Makes no difference.
