But no surprise. It’s been coming. Let’s see if the new CMO is up to a task.

Replacing a decent CMO with a diversity hire. This reeks of KCC DEI initiative. Yes the ELT is lily-white and male but how about taking out someone that is incompetent, say NC or DH. Don't fire the only person who is well-liked and actually knows his sh*t. Chalk up another terrible decision for this lost CEO. Also, say goodbye to another 50+ people in marketing who were only sticking around for him.
The Teradata press release states:
Woods is a results-driven marketing executive with thirty years of experience leading corporate transformations. . ."
She should fit right in with the incompetent ELT employing the euphemism "transformation" to conceal lack of performance and results.
Yes. ME gets to leave the TDC Shi¥Show early. Don’t feel sorry for him.
- e. - Pervasive Daily Incompetence!
ME gets the last laugh here. He walks away, gets paid, and avoids sinking with the ship. He saw the writing on the wall when SM brought in NC. That fool will take us all down with him, and make McKinsey richer in the process.
"Next slide" ~m.E.
No CMO can help legacy Teradata. Perfuming the Pig!
So glad they are bringing in the new CMO from outside the organization. She looks like a breath of fresh air.
Since becoming CMO in 2018, ME has transformed the Marketing function at Teradata. Investing in a customer-centric, digital-first strategy to translate brand through to demand. In addition, he introduced Lean-Marketing methodology; of iteration, testing, measurement, and continuous improvement. Applying many of the operational and growth lessons he learned from his experience while working for X-X.
ME also heads Teradata’s User Experience transformation. Business users want the same ease of use and convenience with the enterprise software they experience with their consumer apps. By using innovative design principles and extensive customer research, Teradata’s new user experience delivers a modern and intuitive experience across business and personas.
I argue there is no need for new CMO. Save this $ to keep TD few days more alive. What do you want to sell and who?
The fact that it took this long is amazing. So which bu-t kisser in marketing will take his place?
Fired!!! For his incompetence!!!
