401k question

I have a old 401k with Macys and No longer work there with their stock going up would this mean my 401k would go up? I left years ago but didn't move the 401k ?

The 401K stays unless you act on it and request either a rollover to a new plan, cash out with the penalty, or if your balance is under a certain amount the company sends you the amount, which for most this is not the case. You decide how to invest and didn’t necessarily have to put a certain percent in Macy’s stock.

Your 401k has nothing to do with Macy's stock.

Your 401k was likely paid out to you after 90 days if you didn’t roll into an IRA. Contact Merrill Ly--h who does Macy’s retirement accounts and find out.
