I saw the writing on the wall and left Bose a few years ago. It was the right move for me - better company, large increase in compensation, endless growth opportunities, etc (not even comparable to what Bose offers). I know of a handful of very talented employees that are still there. I’m just curious but for those that are still there, what are the reasons to stay?

Sometimes it's easier to just stay with your wife.
It’s difficult for loyal employees to leave a company. People say to me - you work at Bose! How cool is that?!
I keep thinking things will turn a corner.. sometimes they never do. Maybe for Bose they never will. Where are the hearing aids that are supposed to save us?
I got tired of trying to rationalize staying and stagnating. Easily found my next career step and moved on this year. I have no regrets other than wishing I had done so earlier.
I left too and I keep hearing that it's miserable there in the home office, morose and just sad. I think this happens at every dying company, there are people who will be there to turn the lights out. And unfortunately, I think the lack of career growth there makes it hard for some people to find other jobs because they didn't really advance much and the company is no longer known for cutting edge anything.
