Thread regarding Juniper Networks Inc. layoffs

Leader in Wired & Wireless !! Don't get excited

It is a great achievement, which should be celebrated, but before everyone gets too carried away, remember Juniper has been here before. Neoteris, Netscreen, Unisphere, Trapeze to name but a few. They will not execute well enough to stay there and will soon lag behind and let the products die. Remember it was only 4 years ago when they left Pulse and WLAN customers high and dry. Don't fall for them

Paying Gartner a huge amount of money for this recognition was marketings greatest investment yet. Please work out.

That’s cause they don’t use SRX where they did use stacks of Netscreen

For the record, those pi----g on netscreen and srx - Government had juniper sued and then some for a backdoor that was left open on screenos. PAN recently just had 9 government agencies get hacked thru their products... cant say i've seen that coming from SRX. Just saying...

Omg !! The irony. Without that one junos decision there would be no PAN & no Fortinet, and srx wouldn’t be the embarrassment it is. Wait for one junos WIFI then kiss goodbye to the leaders position

You are not paying attention. As for Netscreen the idea of ONE-JUNOS was the major contributor in delays to meet the milestones and not lack of investment on the NGFW. In regards to Trapeze, it was a inappropriate acquisition to being with.

You miss the point completely with that reply. They did sell a lot of Netscreen, but criminally neglected to invest in NGFW, and left the market to PAN. Same with Trapeze, great tech, no investment… dead !

Not true. Netscreen and uninspired were both successful and Juniper made good money having them. Juniper gained security technology with having Netscreen in their list of products which didn’t have before. There are always acquisition that will not go well, just look at Cisco and others that have spend billions of dollars with much not to show for.
