Isn’t that just like Staples? Ruin people and families at the holidays when the country is already suffering. But they don’t care….and never have…never will! The sooner you learn this the better. You are just a number. Good luck.
On this Thanksgiving I will be thankful to be gone from a company that is full of liars and leadership that doesn’t lead . I’m blessed
The entire contract furniture division was cut and, from other posts, maybe the whole TAM org too. Sounds like a complete restructuring of sales org. I’m sure that impacts other support and COE areas too. Not sure about CA.. hopefully someone will post summary of all changes
Can someone tell us what positions and where? And is it Staples Business Canada?
I can’t believe all of the layoff announcements today at Staples. I understand organizations have to restructure sometimes but doing so in such a way that you cut off benefits immediately and offer no severance to employees is simply ruthless. It shows lack of empathy and care for those that spent many years dedicated to growing the company. My hope is that every person impacted is blessed with a new better paying job quickly, and with a company that truly stands behind employee values. It’s a shame this was handled very unprofessionally and cut throat. Glad I don’t work there anymore.
How can a company tell their people to get as many sales as possible for the past several months and then bo-m... we are no longer in contract furniture. You have thousands of dedicated customers that depend on you and you pull the rug out.. sorry Mr. Customer but we no longer have designers so I don't know if that furniture is going to fit. Why don't I direct you to another dealer to help you out... WTF is that and who's brilliant idea is that? What about all the wonderful people that got let go. How and why? What kind of company lays off employees every year around the holidays?? It's beyond heartless. I truly believe that this company will be gone in 6 months. Thank you SP for destroying so many lives!!!!!
