Thread regarding Citrix Systems Inc. layoffs

Raleigh engineering - gather here!

Raleigh eng leaders probably rubbing their hands in glee. Made most of this golden opportunity to fire engineers they’ve been targeting for years. Not giving any space to succeed to these ICs or focusing on their strengths. Fired engineers who don’t self-promote, don’t make the right noises, and are not part of their cliques. All under guise of them being culture misfits. Meanwhile product has no future but somehow eng leaders take no accountability.
Also notice the large proportion of brown folks being shown the door - and higher proportion of white majority coming in as new hires, specially in leadership roles. Very obvious what “culture transformation” is underway.

Survivors - to survive and flourish, do what the brown managers / directors do - suck up to the majority. Be one of them or be gone.

This is what this thread is all about. You came here defending the indefensible. You are the one jumping around and BSing all over. It’s a simple ask, show the data where 2/3 hires were Asians, that it was performance based and that Asians don’t write a fu----g line of code.

If you don’t have anything concrete, f-off from here and do what you are good at. We surely know you are the one who takes pleasure when people lose their jobs. Do shine the boots well, else it may be you next.

Some of them were promoted last cycles. And they saw it coming? Are you an id--t?

On a serious note, can someone put up the data on how many Asians vs Non Asians have been fired from Raleigh engineering team today?

Also last 2 years since the VP Engineering had joined, how many Asians left his team and who replaced their roles and new roles.

Ask this in the all hands on 18th and show it to the entire company?

This thread unfortunately reflects the true racist nature of Citrix employees against their teammates. We started off with an as-ho-e commenting how brown folks cannot code with other racist comments against brown Asians deleted by the @op.
I am so sad to see this is how citrites feel about their neighbors and colleagues.
Truly a sad day for Citrix , worse than the layoffs. It revealed the true jealousy citrates feel for their brown Asian brothers and sisters.

Brown folks are the majority now. Fire or hire 3 engineers. Two will be brown. It's a shame to speculate on the race here. It's also confirms the people who lacks basic engineering skills and only capable of race speculation should have been fired long time back. Good engineer doesn't care about the race. Good engineer is able to get a new job with no problem in this market keeping good severance package. Id--ts just complain bringing everything into picture forgetting his own incompetence.

I worked for this company for over a decade. My role is tied directly to the financial well being of the company and I exceed my colleagues in all measurable KPIs. Today I was let go, quite unceremoniously. Im not mad, just sad at the lack of empathy from leadership and the way the situation was handled. I will land on my feet but feel worst about the level of work my colleagues will have to absorb. To anyone else impacted, keep your head up.
