The cap has always been there, in all previews layoffs as far as I know. I actually thought it was up to 10 years, but if you said they got 30, then sounds like the cap is at 12 years (6 weeks + the 2x year up to 12). 30 weeks is 7.5 months, which is pretty decent.
and the +2 weeks for each year worked at Citrix, is capped at 30 weeks. I know a handful of people with over 15 years who were laid-off yesterday, and they got screwed one last time.
